We are delighted to be starting 2025 by welcoming Helen Webb to the Rattlerow team as Head of Sales and Technical. In her new role, Helen will be responsible for overseeing feed and nutrition within Rattlerow Farms. She will also lead Research and Development efforts across Pigs, Biogas, Property, and Arable, ensuring innovative solutions and improvements across these key areas. Additionally, Helen will play a key role within the sales function of the business, working closely with the team to aid with strategy and performance.
Helen brings extensive experience and knowledge to this position. After completing her degree in Animal Science at the University of Edinburgh, Helen began her career in the pig industry as a trials technician at BQP in 2002. Working on the dedicated trials farm at Iken, she gained invaluable hands-on experience in the daily operations of commercial pig farming while conducting innovative farm R&D and large-scale multi-actor projects at the cutting edge of the industry.
Over time, Helen’s role expanded to include managing BQP’s R&D function, nutrition, feed procurement, and delivery for both the integrated BQP business and independent farmers—overseeing nearly 350,000 tons of finished feed annually across the UK.
Helen has also been deeply involved in driving environmental sustainability initiatives. She led the development of agricultural soya sourcing strategies, participated in industry working groups, and piloted the use of HVO fuel for pig haulage, a project she is particularly proud of.
More recently, Helen’s role evolved to focus on customer relations, serving as Technical Director – Agriculture and later as Customer Director – Agriculture for Pilgrims Europe, managing relationships across both pig and poultry sectors.
