Steve Dunstan returns to pigs
We are delighted to welcome Steve Dunstan to our team. He joins us a Sales Development Manager and takes over from David Arrand who will retire at the end of this year after 23 years with the company.
Most of Steve’s career has centred on pig production and livestock breeding, having previously worked with PIC and Genus, and he’s delighted to be back where he belongs in pig genetics. He brings a broad knowledge and wide experience to Rattlerow from both the UK and European perspective.
“Rattlerow has an important and influential role in the pig sector, both here and overseas and I am thrilled to be part of the team. The business is founded on proven genetics and practical pig management and this balanced approach achieves exceptional results,” says Steve.
His new role will involve close co-operation with commercial producers and their customers. A key objective will be to help them raise productivity and efficiency and harness more of the genetic potential available from their Rattlerow genotypes.
“Rattlerow has an important and influential role in the pig sector, both here and overseas…”
Rattlerow is achieving 30 pigs reared per sow per year with growth rates in terminal lines exceeding 1200g/day on its own commercial health status farms. Some of its top 10% customer herds are matching these figures and my aim is to help more of our customers achieve similar results.
Robert Lawson, Joint Managing Director at Rattlerow Farms said Steve’s appointment strengthens its dedicated team.
